Case-study: FraudScore for MYBOX’s CPI and CPA campaigns
Advertisers are well known to work with traffic sources and partners directly, and develop their own rules for working with them. The main goal is to get good (clean) traffic that meets the requirements of the campaigns and the advertiser’s business goals.
MYBOX is a federal chain of 300+ Japanese and Pan-Asian restaurants, represented in more than one hundred Russian cities. When it comes to online advertising and promotion, MYBOX works through CPI and CPA campaigns, and optimizes campaign performance metrics such as CPO and CAC.

At the beginning of 2022, MYBOX received recommendations to start working with the FraudScore anti-fraud solution from an advertising agency. And, after using the trial period, MYBOX decided to work with FraudScore for conversion analysis.
FraudScore has been integrated into the daily work processes of MYBOX traffic managers and marketers. They monitor traffic quality graphs, analyze the performance of new partners, and use the ”fraud score” parameter in the system reports to identify suspicious conversions and sources.
After receiving the first results, it was decided to also connect FraudScore to analyze mobile campaigns on iOS and Android.
MYBOX’s managers upload data on specific campaigns from FraudScore and then perform an analysis with the report from the internal CRM system. Then, they calculate the share of newly acquired users and their CAC by comparing data from FraudScore reports with data on organic traffic and data from partners.
FraudScore reports help MYBOX managers during interactions with agencies — if there are questions about mobile traffic quality estimation and performance optimization, FraudScore data becomes an additional important argument in the negotiations. As an important factor in blocking untrustworthy sources, the detailed information about the type of fraud in FraudScore reports helps MYBOX managers make informed decisions.
In 2022, MYBOX was able to monitor new campaigns using FraudScore reports, quickly identify several major fraud sources, and completely block those partners.
